Overview
As a CRA Compliance Technical Lead at QT Technologies Ireland Limited, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that products meet the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) mandates and broader product security compliance standards. This position calls for a technically skilled leader who can convert advancing regulatory mandates into actionable and automated engineering solutions covering product development, vulnerability management, documentation, evidence gathering, reporting, and governance workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product security, standards, engineering, and release teams to interpret evolving CRA requirements, address process gaps, and develop automated mechanisms to support consistent compliance demonstration.
- Develop and sustain a structured compliance framework focused on automating evidence collection, control validation, and documentation for product security governance.
- Translate complex regulatory language into feasible engineering and operational requirements, embedding compliance into product lifecycle activities while enhancing traceability of requirements against implemented controls and automated checks.
- Regularly engage with compliance tools including risk registers, issue trackers, vulnerability records, SBOM materials, and compliance dashboards.
- Design, implement, and manage scalable automation systems for validating and reporting compliance evidence efficiently.
- Lead cross-functional compliance initiatives by providing technical direction, influencing priorities, and fostering consistent CRA compliance interpretations and implementations across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in cybersecurity engineering compliance, product security governance, security architecture, or managing security programs in regulated product environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Cyber Resilience Act and its application to software/hardware, secure development, and vulnerability handling processes.
- Proven competency in converting regulatory criteria into actionable technical and automation strategies.
- Track record in deploying and maintaining compliance automation, integration, and reporting solutions.
- Ability to lead teams across departments to execute compliance initiatives effectively without direct managerial authority.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building trust and driving results across different teams.
- Understanding of secure software development lifecycle and embedding security requirements in engineering workflows.
- Experience with vulnerability detection, prioritization, remediation tracking, and governance processes.
- Capability to structure and manage compliance evidence and artifacts audit-readily.
- Strong written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with security compliance frameworks like RED, NIS2, IEC 62443, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/SAE 21434 in addition to CRA.
- Familiarity with audit processes and preparing evidence for regulatory assessments.
- Knowledge of compliance monitoring tools such as issue tracking and documentation systems.
Minimum Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related technical discipline with at least 6 years relevant experience, or
- Master’s degree in the above fields with minimum 5 years experience, or
- PhD in the above fields accompanied by at least 4 years experience.
- Additionally, 3 or more years programming experience in languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python is required.
