Corporate Lawyer

Overview

Finlight Research India Pvt Ltd, a SEBI Registered Research Analyst firm based in Bangalore, is seeking an experienced Corporate Lawyer to oversee the company's legal, regulatory, employment, and compliance functions.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and finalize various legal documents such as Employment Agreements, Offer Letters, NDAs, Service Contracts, and Legal Notices.
• Manage cases involving absconding employees, employment disputes, legal notices, and recovery actions.
• Initiate and pursue legal action relating to fraud cases, including employee, client, cyber, and financial fraud.
• Coordinate with banks for legal processes such as lien removals and account unlocking.
• Work closely with Cyber Crime Cell, banks, and law enforcement for complaint management, investigations, and account unfreezing.
• Handle drafting and responses to GST notices while liaising with GST authorities.
• Respond to EPF department notices, inspections, and official communications.
• Address Labor Department notices, inspections, employee disputes, and legal replies.
• Represent the company in front of statutory authorities as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with relevant labor, corporate, and regulatory laws.
• Advise management on employment, contract, compliance, and business law matters.
• Collaborate with external lawyers, consultants, and government entities as required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in law: LL.B. or LL.M. from a recognized university.
• Enrollment with the Bar Council of India is preferred.
• 3 to 6 years of professional experience in Corporate Law, Labor and Employment Law, Banking Legal Affairs, Regulatory Compliance, or Litigation.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, stock market, or SEBI-regulated firms is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Corporate and Employment laws.
• Expertise with labor law compliance and drafting legal documents.
• Experience handling cyber law and banking legal issues.
• Proficient in managing GST and tax-related notices.
• Skilled in dealing with EPF and labor department compliance.
• Capable in legal research, documentation, and litigation coordination.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Compensation

The salary or professional fees will be determined based on the candidate's experience, performance in the interview, market benchmarks, and company policies. The expected salary range is INR 30000 to INR 80000 per month.
