About the Role
This full-time, permanent position based in Wellington offers an opportunity to join the Ministry of Health's Government Services team. The role centers on providing vital coordination across multiple portfolios including Ministerial Correspondence, Official Information Act services, Ministerial advice, and Parliamentary coordination functions. Your efforts will help ensure information is accurately managed, deadlines are consistently met, and high-quality service is maintained for stakeholders across the Ministry and wider government.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage workflows related to Ministerial, Parliamentary, and Official Information requests, including logging, tracking, filing, reporting, and ensuring timeliness and quality.
- Support the team's program by coordinating information requests, preparing reports and presentations, and maintaining reliable record-keeping and reporting systems.
- Provide administrative and logistical assistance such as organizing meetings and events, preparing agendas, recording minutes, and handling workflow management across various projects.
- Develop strong working relationships within the Ministry and with external stakeholders, contributing to initiatives aimed at improving processes, systems, and service delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in coordination, administration, or business support roles involving multiple stakeholders or projects.
- Excellent organizational abilities, capable of prioritizing multiple competing tasks under pressure, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative approach and dedication to delivering high-quality services.
- A proactive attitude with keen attention to detail and a passion for process improvement and supporting team success.

Additional Information
This role has a midpoint salary of $66,838 NZD per year, which may vary based on experience. Applications must be submitted by midnight Sunday, 26th July 2026.
