Construction Manager - Infrastructure Projects

Overview

HEB Construction, a part of VINCI Construction, is undergoing significant expansion and invites seasoned Construction Managers to express interest in senior positions based in Auckland. These roles focus on overseeing the delivery of New Zealand’s major infrastructure developments, including roading, bridges, water and wastewater systems, and marine construction.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide strong, visible leadership throughout all construction phases on substantial infrastructure projects.
• Ensure projects comply with safety standards, stay within budget, meet schedules and maintain high-quality benchmarks.
• Lead and nurture multidisciplinary construction teams to achieve exceptional performance.
• Proactively handle project risks, scheduling, and constructability to ensure successful project completion.
• Promote a culture prioritizing Zero Harm, environmental stewardship, and continuous advancement.
• Develop and sustain trustworthy relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

• Significant experience managing large-scale earthworks and civil construction projects valued over $100 million.
• Expertise in tendering, early contractor involvement (ECI), pre-construction planning, and managing temporary works.
• Proven ability to lead extensive, multifaceted teams within complex infrastructure and earthworks programs.
• Strong commercial insight with a track record of meeting safety, timeline, quality, and financial objectives.
• Inspirational leadership style focused on building engaged, high-performing teams and fostering strong client partnerships.
