Job description
Overview
Based in Windsor, Ontario, the Community Leader plays a pivotal role in delivering excellent tenant customer service while overseeing the administration, maintenance, cleaning, and general upkeep of the property.
Key Duties
- Promote available units to prospective tenants by answering rental queries, assisting with application processes including credit reference checks, forwarding documents to Head Office, finalizing rental agreements, and meticulously tracking all communications.
- Maintain a high satisfaction rate among tenants by promptly addressing issues and complaints within 24 hours, offering respectful service especially during conflict situations, and coordinating maintenance and minor repairs efficiently.
- Respond swiftly to tenant emergencies during working hours, prioritize accommodation requests according to accessibility policies, and organize community-building tenant events.
- Maintain fire safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, keep detailed logs, handle rent collection, manage expenses, assist audits, and complete other administrative functions including correspondence and record-keeping.
- Ensure thorough documentation accuracy related to leases and inspections, manage resident files and expenses using property management software.
- Coordinate cleaning and maintenance tasks ensuring common areas remain tidy, monitor maintenance requests, conduct minor repairs, supervise contractors, and oversee seasonal outdoor upkeep such as snow removal, landscaping, and grounds maintenance.
Qualifications
- A post-secondary qualification in a relevant field complemented by a minimum of five years of property management experience.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and automobile insurance.
- Proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email/internet use.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and navigate stairs with ease.

Additional Information
- Work hours are Monday through Friday, with availability needed in the mornings.
- Annual salary is $45,000, complemented by monthly bonus incentives.
