About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Communications Officer to join the Communications & Governance team within the Stakeholder Management Business Unit of the Stakeholder and Issues Management Team. The primary focus of this role involves researching and preparing responses for stakeholder correspondence. Exceptional written communication skills along with strong customer management and relationship-building abilities are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Stakeholder Management Business Unit by delivering accurate, timely communications advice and comprehensive correspondence assistance to regional personnel, leveraging appropriate communication channels.
- Manage the coordination, research, drafting and editing of various communication outputs such as correspondence replies, meeting briefs, briefing notes, media statements, responses to media inquiries, speech notes, online engagement content, newsletters, and other materials for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Provide communications guidance to regional staff on risk evaluation, issues management, community consultation, and strategy development using effective communication tools.
- Engage in community interaction and stakeholder consultation activities throughout project planning and execution phases.
- Maintain and update regional website content to keep the information relevant to ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Deliver training, advisory support, and resources to regional teams and consultants to foster consistency, enhance communication capabilities, and strengthen relationships with stakeholders and communities involved in non-project initiatives.
