A strong understanding of the political, economic, and cultural landscape of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the broader Middle East and North Africa region is important, along with the ability to connect industry developments to wider trends and use a strong network of business, industry, and economic media contacts to support external storytelling.
The role also calls for experience in internal communications, including the use of tools such as Poppulo and VivaEngage to engage distributed employee groups. The successful candidate should be comfortable working both tactically and strategically, and should have experience with executive positioning programs, including digital media.

- Support organizational changes, leadership transitions, transformation initiatives, and major programs through communication plans tailored to different audiences and stakeholders.
- Manage budget coordination, vendor partnerships, event support, and project team activities where required.
- Partner with businesses, functions, and government relations teams on crisis response and issue management.
- Prepare and refine press releases, bylined articles, key messages, media statements, Q&A documents, and briefing materials.
- Advocate for the use of AI within the communications function.
- Be willing to travel 10% to 15% of the time.
Requirements
- Demonstrated success in change communications and in positioning leaders both internally and externally.
- A strong network of Saudi-based media contacts, with a proven ability to pitch stories, handle journalist requests, and provide timely, clear information to external stakeholders.
