Job Overview
We are seeking a business-oriented Commercial Finance Analyst to become an integral part of a growing finance team that supports a crucial operational business area. This role is designed to deliver significant financial insights, enhance reporting mechanisms, and collaborate closely with operational stakeholders to boost business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and periodic reforecasting efforts.
- Evaluate and refine existing financial models, templates, and reporting workflows to increase efficiency and consistency.
- Provide detailed financial analysis to aid operational and commercial decision-making.
- Create management reports, conduct variance analyses, and deliver performance updates.
- Assess contract and operational profitability, highlight risks, opportunities, and recommend improvements.
- Track principal cost drivers and support margin enhancement and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Develop reporting tools and templates to elevate financial transparency within the organization.
- Collaborate with operational teams to comprehend performance determinants and assist in making well-informed decisions.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with background in financial analysis, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or commercial finance.
- Experience in commercially focused finance roles, preferably in operational, contract-driven, or service-oriented contexts.
- Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
- Advanced Excel capabilities, including enhancements to reporting and financial modeling processes.
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends, scrutinize performance, and deliver valuable insights.
- Effective communicator capable of building relationships across non-finance stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset with enthusiasm for process improvements, automation, and boosting efficiencies.
Additional Information
The position is based in North Dublin with a hybrid working arrangement combining onsite and remote work.
