Commercial Excellence Analyst

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Support integrated business planning (IBP), booking forecasts, and demand forecasting by coordinating inputs, validating information, and ensuring timely updates.
• Analyze booking performance, forecast reliability, pipeline health, conversion rates, customer metrics, and other pivotal commercial indicators to assist leadership.
• Act as a liaison with finance by aiding in booking actuals, forecast reconciliation, variance analysis, budgeting, and close processes.
• Develop and maintain detailed booking bridge analyses explaining business changes across various segments such as regions, customers, and product groups.
• Collaborate with sales leaders, account teams, planners, supply chain, and finance to enhance forecasting discipline and business alignment.
• Support sales operating rhythms, including risk/opportunity reviews, demand assessments, forecast meetings, and leadership reports with insightful analysis and recommendations.
• Assist in annual sales incentive planning, including target setting aligned with finance objectives.
• Identify and implement improvements in reporting, processes, and tools through automation and AI technologies.
• Maintain comprehensive reporting documents, process guides, calendars, data definitions, and reconciliation methods to ensure consistency.
• Challenge existing methodologies, identify root causes of inefficiencies, and propose process enhancements.

Candidate Requirements

• 6 to 8 years of professional experience in fields such as sales operations, commercial analytics, finance, demand planning, or business intelligence.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in disciplines like Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or Supply Chain management.
• Strong knowledge of forecasting, pipeline management, revenue metrics, commercial finance processes, demand planning, and IBP/S&OP concepts.
• Advanced analytical capabilities with proficiency in interpreting large datasets, spotting trends, and delivering actionable business insights.
• Expertise in developing clear reports, presentations, and executive summaries tailored to diverse audiences.
• Problem-solving aptitude to detect process gaps, suggest solutions, and achieve data accuracy alignment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills enabling effective cooperation across multiple departments and leadership levels.
• Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of independently managing tasks within dynamic work environments.
• Comfort with utilizing technology, automation, and AI-enhanced reporting tools to boost operational efficiency.
• Compliance with applicable U.S. export control requirements including ITAR/EAR eligibility.
