The business is looking for a Client Project Manager to support client outcomes within its Client Delivery Group in Product & Services.

Role overview

This position is focused on leading a portfolio of complex client delivery initiatives spanning payments, compliance, digital transformation and product implementation. You will work with clients and internal delivery teams to keep work on track, protect the client experience and help drive strong delivery outcomes in a busy, changing environment.

The role involves managing several projects at the same time, using strong stakeholder engagement, structured governance and proactive issue management to keep progress moving.

Key responsibilities

You will be expected to handle 4 to 6 live client projects at once and keep them moving against agreed scope, timelines, budgets and quality standards. You will also work with delivery squads and product teams to support progress through Agile sprint cycles.

Regular reporting is part of the role, including fortnightly internal and client updates, steering committee packs, governance documents and executive-level reporting. You will lead project kick-offs, steering committee sessions and client workshops to build alignment and maintain engagement.

A major part of the job is developing trusted client relationships through clear, professional communication so that stakeholders feel informed and supported throughout delivery. You will also manage risks, issues, dependencies and change requests while keeping the focus on successful client outcomes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of project management experience delivering complex technology, digital or business change initiatives. You should have a background in managing multiple projects in customer-facing settings and be comfortable balancing competing priorities.

Strong stakeholder management capability is essential, including the ability to influence clients and senior leaders and build credibility quickly. Experience working in hybrid delivery models that combine Waterfall and Agile approaches is also required.

You should have a solid understanding of project management frameworks, with PMP, CAPM, Prince2 or a similar certification considered an advantage. Hands-on experience with planning and delivery tools such as MS Project and Jira is expected, along with strong financial management skills covering budgeting, forecasting and governance reporting.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are important, particularly the ability to present information clearly and confidently. Experience in payments, banking, fintech or financial services, exposure to financial risk or compliance, and experience connecting traditional project management with Agile teams will help you stand out.
