Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Claims Professional specializing in professional indemnity and financial lines claims to join our Dublin team. Reporting under general supervision, you will expertly manage claim investigations, assessments, negotiations, and settlements according to company policies and industry best practices. This role supports the Claims Management team by delivering high-quality claim handling and exceptional customer service, ensuring smooth claims operations and adherence to service standards. This position does not include managerial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply policy coverage accurately to all assigned claims.
- Conduct thorough investigations of claims.
- Proactively negotiate and resolve claims following company guidelines and best practices.
- Set claim reserves precisely according to company protocols.
- Maintain company service standards consistently.
- Ensure accuracy of data related to claims.
- Coordinate with and manage external vendors, monitoring service quality and costs to meet technical and service requirements.
- Authorize claim payments and reserves within delegated authority.
- Provide technical advice and build effective internal and external business relationships.
- Collaborate as an active team member, supporting colleagues and participating in project work.
- Assist senior professionals with larger or more complex claims when necessary.
- Communicate openly with managers and peers regarding actions taken to understand impacts across various disciplines.
- Engage actively in trainings and development programs to enhance technical and professional skills.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates sufficient technical knowledge to manage assigned claims within delegated authority.
- Preferably has prior claim handling experience.
- Capable of managing claims to meet technical standards, best practices, and service level requirements.
- Possesses intermediate communication, business insight, relationship-building, flexibility, accountability, analytical thinking, judgment, decision-making, and teamwork skills.
- Exhibits advanced customer focus.
- Holds Accredited Product Advisor (APA) qualification or higher.
- Has previous experience in insurance-related roles such as paralegal, insurance operations, or insurance brokerage.
