About KidStrong
KidStrong is a child development program designed to help families raise more confident, capable, and athletic children. The focus is on helping kids from walking age through 11 years old strengthen brain, body, and character skills so they can build confidence, make friends, participate actively, and succeed in everyday situations.
KidStrong Milton is expanding quickly and is seeking an enthusiastic Children’s Coach who enjoys working with both kids and parents, brings energy to the role, and wants to make a meaningful difference.
Role overview
This position is centered on coaching children through a monthly curriculum that supports brain development, physical skills, and character growth. The coach should be comfortable explaining the reasoning behind the curriculum to parents and guardians, and should be able to work flexibly based on studio needs.
Classes generally take place on weekdays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, in the evenings until 7:00 pm, and on weekends from 8:00 am through around noon. There may also be extra hours available through private party coaching. The role can suit either a part-time or full-time schedule, depending on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead small-group classes of about 6 to 15 children, generally between 12 months and 11 years old.
- Deliver the curriculum supplied by the headquarters programming team.
- Keep classes running on time and maintain the correct pace through each lesson.
- Welcome children and their parents or guardians personally at the start of class.
- Bring a lively, encouraging, engaging, and professional presence to every session.
- Demonstrate exercises and supervise children while they perform them.
- Help maintain the center by cleaning the lobby, bathrooms, and floors; emptying trash; sweeping and mopping; wiping equipment; and sanitizing mats at the end of shifts.
- Use the coach app to log attendance, awards, and other class records for families.
- Keep in touch with coworkers through the internal messaging system and review messages regularly when away from the center.
- Complete required training through the designated learning platform.
- Work in a physically demanding environment that may involve covering several miles per shift and moving equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Provide hands-on guidance when needed to support safe movement and correct technique.
- Help parents of children age three and under with class direction and flow.
- Join monthly programming meetings to learn the next month’s curriculum.
- Attend any additional staff meetings required by leadership.
- Learn and support special academy classes held during school breaks such as winter break and summer break.
- Reach certified status through the headquarters training and certification team.
Requirements
- Strong enthusiasm for working with children is essential.
- Background in athletics or coaching is preferred, especially with children from 12 months to 11 years old.
- Experience explaining programs or lessons to parents is preferred.
- Working knowledge of physiology, exercise methods, and body mechanics is needed.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Good interpersonal communication skills and a motivating, positive style are important.
- Must be self-directed and able to complete tasks reliably.
- Comfort with being in the spotlight and leading a class is an advantage.
- Prior experience as a pediatric occupational therapist or physical therapist is a plus, though not required.

Additional information
Compensation is listed at $17.60 to $22.00 per hour. KidStrong is a private child development training center focused on brain, physical, and character development for children who are walking through 11 years old. The curriculum is science-based, parent-focused, and delivered by professionals.
