Primary Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory compliance and governance activities comprehensively, ensuring the company's alignment with VARA expectations and scalable controls to manage growth effectively.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for VARA, collaborating closely with the CEO who remains involved during regulator interactions.
• Manage stakeholder relations by building trust and credibility with VARA early in the engagement process, ideally leveraging prior experience with UAE regulators to mitigate risks in setup phases.
• Bridge the operational realities of the Dubai market with Coins.ph’s leadership to synchronize expansion efforts across international territories.
• Exhibit a proactive, hands-on leadership style, comfortable operating amid uncertainty and rapidly initiating progress from scratch.
• Balance commercial initiatives with compliance rigor to ensure rapid growth does not compromise regulatory integrity or control standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experienced senior compliance professional residing in the UAE, holding at least 5 years of experience in regulated financial services related to Virtual Asset Service Providers, fintech, or payments sectors.
• Skilled in acting as the key regulatory liaison with confidence and sound judgment, maintaining strong credibility as business volumes increase.
• Proven record as a senior compliance leader from a relevant regulated UAE financial environment, meeting experience criteria to qualify as a Responsible Individual under local regulations.
