Job Overview

The Cashier role is essential in delivering prompt, welcoming, precise, and secure customer service. This position involves handling checkout and return transactions efficiently, managing the Self-Checkout zone, and actively acquiring knowledge about products and projects to inform customers and uncover sales opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Process purchases and return transactions accurately while maintaining safe service standards.
• Supervise the Self-Checkout area to ensure smooth operation and availability.
• Seek and apply product and project information to assist customers and enhance sales.
• Comply with company policies to reduce loss and shrinkage.

Additional Role Information

An advanced position, Head Cashier, involves assigning duties to Cashiers, expediting price verifications, authorizing sales transactions including markdowns across various departments such as main registers, Self-Checkout, Pro Desk, Returns, Special Services, and Tool Rental.

Head Cashiers also serve as the primary contact for escalating customer concerns and contribute to the development of front-end staff through coaching, assisting with training new Cashiers, and utilizing training resources effectively.

The ideal candidate for Head Cashier has one or more years of experience in a Cashier role.
