Job Summary
Join ANC, a leading Canadian cannabis manufacturer, as a Cannabis Production Worker. This role invites diligent and safety-conscious individuals to be part of a collaborative team focused on assembling products, conducting quality inspections, and maintaining efficient production operations. The role demands a detail-oriented approach, technical skills, and dedication to uphold high-quality standards while working in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Precisely assemble cannabis products following detailed instructions, ensuring proper use of tools and components.
- Operate and oversee machinery involved in the production line, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot to avoid downtime.
- Package cannabis products complying with regulatory and company standards, including accurate labeling and secure sealing to preserve product freshness.
- Conduct continuous quality checks through visual inspections and precise measurements to detect defects and ensure product integrity; report issues promptly.
- Strictly follow workplace safety protocols by wearing necessary protective gear and maintaining a clean, safe environment; report safety issues immediately.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and foster effective communication.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets by balancing productivity with quality standards.
- Identify operational challenges and participate in problem-solving to sustain smooth production flow.
- Keep accurate records of production activities, including output quantities, detected defects, and any process adjustments.
Candidate Qualifications
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow exact instructions.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills and ability to function well in a team environment.
- Leadership potential and proactive attitude.
- Adaptability to changing production requirements and problem-solving aptitude.
- Tolerance for strong odors and fragrances associated with cannabis products.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Capability to correctly wear personal protective equipment.
- Reliable transportation access for commuting.
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
- Dependable, punctual, and positive approach to work.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
Compensation and Working Conditions
Position is full-time with an expected 40-hour workweek, working on-site in Edmonton, Alberta. Starting pay begins at $17.50 per hour.
