About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Manage Operations, Indirect, and Corporate Purchase activities including supply sourcing, services, vendor relationships, annual maintenance contract renewals, and subcontracting for service delivery.
- Take charge as a category Buyer, independently managing assigned procurement responsibilities.
- Conduct sourcing processes, facilitate bidding and bid evaluation, negotiate terms, and issue purchase orders.
- Coordinate procurement for subcontracted services such as workplace maintenance, security, housekeeping, transportation, asset management, and related facilities services.
- Oversee infrastructure initiatives including office expansions, renovations, and space utilization management.
- Manage budgets, implement procurement and cost reduction strategies.
- Collaborate with various internal stakeholders aimed at enhancing workplace experience for employees.
- Drive continuous process improvements and administrative best practices.
- Lead subcontracting efforts involving professional, technical, and major construction services.
- Ensure rigorous compliance with company policies and standards of ethical conduct.
- Secure required approvals for bidder exceptions, bid evaluations, source selections, subcontracts, and change orders before execution.
- Work in close alignment with Engineering, Construction, Facilities/Real Estate Operations, and other teams to ensure program consistency and effectiveness.
- Monitor subcontract activities, progress, and provide guidance on subcontract management, including change management and financial oversight.
- Prepare contracts including bidder prequalification, proposal solicitation, evaluation, negotiation of terms and pricing, agreement finalization, and subcontract issuance.
- Include necessary prime contract flow-downs in subcontracts where applicable.
- Maintain an updated database of potential and qualified suppliers along with their performance track record.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors, project teams, user departments, management, clients, and supporting organizations.
- Provide mentorship and support to user departments and project teams.
- Select products and negotiate purchasing terms such as pricing, margins, exclusivity, and delivery conditions.
- Participate in buyer meetings virtually and in person.
- Analyze cost history and trends for each product category to inform procurement decisions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess 7 to 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Graduate or postgraduate degree with experience in corporate sourcing and procurement.
- Demonstrable skills in vendor management and negotiation.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good knowledge of compliance, procurement processes, and budget management.
Accountabilities
- Report to the assigned Procurement Manager.
- Work independently as the accountable Buyer for overall performance.
- Exhibit strong negotiation skills and high attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and standard purchase order software platforms.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Project Delivery Knowledge
- Understand project delivery workflows in relation to various contracting scopes and corporate indirect procurement procedures.
Communication Skills
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to draft and compile subcontract documents, internal and external communications, proposals, and reports effectively.
- Communicate efficiently with subcontractors, project teams, and other stakeholders to motivate and organize efforts.
Technical Systems Skills
- Proficient in electronic mail and common Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with Oracle iProcurement, Icertis, SAP Ariba is advantageous.
- Understanding of subcontract management systems and their application in subcontract activities is preferred but not mandatory.
