Business Analyst

Role Overview

The Business Analyst acts as the critical link between client stakeholders and MetricStream's implementation team, ensuring precise capture and translation of customer requirements into functional configurations within the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage clients via discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to collect business and functional requirements.
• Document existing processes and align them to MetricStream capabilities such as controls, risks, audits, issues, and certifications.
• Create Functional Specifications, capture Best Practices and Lessons Learned, and develop process flow diagrams.
• Identify discrepancies between client needs and standard MetricStream functions and suggest appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with technical consultants to convert requirements into platform configurations.
• Assist with data migration including legacy data mapping, template creation, and validation tasks.
• Help in developing and reviewing test cases for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Organize UAT sessions and monitor defect resolution until completion.
• Work alongside Project Managers to monitor project milestones, risks, and deliverables.
• Maintain project documentation such as meeting notes, action items, and status reports.
• Support change management by developing training materials and conducting end-user walkthroughs.
• Serve as the main contact for functional queries during implementation phases.
• Manage client expectations effectively and escalate issues as necessary.
• Build trustworthy relationships with both client business and IT teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 8 to 10 years of experience in business analysis, consulting, or GRC-related project implementations.
• Knowledge of GRC concepts including SOX compliance, internal controls, risk management, audit management, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in requirements documentation, process mapping, and writing functional specifications.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience working with MetricStream or analogous GRC platforms such as ServiceNow GRC, Archer, or SAP GRC.
• Experience with enterprise clients in banking, financial services, healthcare, or technology sectors.
• Understanding of both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
• Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, CISA, or CRISC are advantageous.
