Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position located in Chandigarh involves assisting in the daily production of assorted baked goods. The duties include mixing, shaping, baking, and finishing items adhering to established recipes and quality parameters. The role also encompasses ingredient preparation, safe operation of bakery machinery, cleanliness upkeep, proper product storage and labeling, supporting senior bakers, complying with food safety and hygiene norms, inventory monitoring, and basic mise en place. Additional responsibilities involve packaging, arranging displays, and coordinating with service teams to ensure efficient order completion.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Solid foundational baking skills with the ability to execute recipes and production plans.
• Experience in food preparation tasks such as measuring, mixing, and ingredient handling in a commercial kitchen setting.
• Competence in producing cookies with consistent flavor, texture, and presentation quality.
• Proficiency in bread making, including dough preparation, fermentation (proofing), and baking procedures.
• Understanding of essential food safety and hygiene principles and dedication to maintaining a sanitary workspace.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive actions precisely.
• Effective teamwork, time management, and communication capabilities with a keen disposition to learn from senior colleagues.
• Prior bakery or pastry kitchen experience is advantageous; culinary or bakery certifications are a plus.
