Job description
Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and committed full-time Automotive Detailer to join our team at our Burlington location (4430 Harvester Rd, L7L 4X2). This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our fleet under the Enterprise Mobility umbrella, which includes Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean, sanitize, vacuum, and ready vehicle interiors according to industry standards.
- Wash and dry exterior surfaces of various vehicles including cars, vans, and trucks.
- Verify fuel levels, inspect windshield condition, reset vehicle systems to erase previous customer data, and secure any left items by placing them in Lost & Found.
- Ensure vehicle documentation matches license plates and is current.
- Check and top up fluid levels; examine tire pressure, tread depth, and overall condition.
- Fuel the vehicles and arrange them for rental service.
- Identify and report any safety issues such as warning lights or physical damages; remove unsafe vehicles from service.
- Maintain a tidy and safe workspace and report hazards promptly.
- Use equipment like carpet shampooers and air purifiers to remove stains, pet hair, and odors.
- Assist customers occasionally, including transport between branch locations.
- Contribute to the cleanliness of the branch, including indoor workspaces and outdoor lots, ensuring a professional site appearance.
- Engage in continuous performance improvement via self-evaluation, training, and goal setting.
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario G or G2 driver’s license with a clean driving record featuring no more than 2 violations or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
- Clear of drug or alcohol-related offenses on driving record within the past 5 years.
- Eligibility to work in Canada without need for sponsorship now or in the future.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Willingness and availability to work the specified schedule except for religious observances: Monday (6:30 AM - 6:00 PM), Tuesday (7:00 AM - 1:00 PM), Wednesday (off), Thursday (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM), Friday (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM), Saturday (8:00 AM - 1:00 PM), Sunday (off).
- At least 18 years old.
