Audiovisual Engineer

Role Overview

An established team in Doha is hiring an experienced AV Designer / AV Solution Developer to support the creation of professional audiovisual system designs and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Take charge of preparing AV shop drawings and submitting them for approval.
• Study tender documents, technical specifications, and RFQ requirements in detail.
• Develop accurate bills of quantities for AV projects.
• Create complete AV system schematics and technical design packages.
• Coordinate with project teams and provide technical guidance throughout delivery.
• Maintain design progress trackers and drawing logs.
• Assess technical proposals and participate in delegated design reviews.
• Guide and support design engineers and draughtsmen through mentoring.
• Conduct technical training sessions for internal staff.
• Follow and uphold the organization’s Quality Management System requirements.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a closely related field is required.
• Applicants should bring more than 5 years, ideally up to 7+ years, of AV system design experience with a system integrator or AV consultancy.
• Strong understanding of professional AV solutions, signal flow, and end-to-end system integration is essential.
• Practical experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, and related design documentation is needed.
• Working knowledge of DSP and control platforms such as Crestron, QSC, Biamp, Extron, or AMX is expected.
• AVIXA CTS-D certification is considered a strong advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation, and coordination abilities are required.
• The role demands the ability to handle several projects at once and consistently meet deadlines.
