Role Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior colleagues to identify, analyze, structure, and execute new investments, particularly emphasizing Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) and other securitized commercial real estate (CRE) credit, with a focus on SASB CMBS.
• Engage in active trading of CMBS and other securitized CRE credit instruments in the secondary market by generating trade ideas and striving for optimal execution for clients.
• Conduct thorough due diligence and investment evaluation encompassing asset-level examination, market research, negotiation, structuring, and underwriting to refine investment strategies.
• Support the creation of investment memoranda and associated analyses to guide the investment process and support decision-making by the investment committee.
• Participate in portfolio management activities and asset allocation aligned with varied strategies and investment goals.

Qualifications

• Possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized top-tier undergraduate institution.
• Have 2 to 4 years of experience in real estate finance investment environments such as real estate investment banking, securitized product trading, private equity, private credit, family offices, hedge funds, institutional brokerage, or REIT acquisitions.
• Utilize AI technologies to enhance efficiency in work processes.
• Demonstrate strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Be effective working collaboratively within teams.
• Manage multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines effectively.
• Possess a solid understanding of financial markets and trading operations.

Compensation & Equal Opportunity

The expected annual base pay for this position based in New York City ranges from $140,000 to $150,000, with exact compensation determined by skills, experience, and qualifications. Eligible employees may also receive a discretionary bonus tied to individual and team performance.
