Team and Role Overview

Within the Corporate Technology group, specifically the Audience & Content Engagement sector, this role supports technology that serves marketing, communications, and content teams company-wide. This group manages digital content publication, engagement, and analytics to connect with and drive business success.

Responsibilities

• Convert business objectives and content into digital experiences using design systems and web components to accelerate delivery and enhance user interaction.
• Implement Disney's design frameworks and accessibility best practices from initial wireframes to final website launches.
• Develop responsive websites using low or no-code tools like WordPress Gutenberg and HTML/CSS where necessary.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams to ensure user experience, content quality, and accessibility are maintained during launches and migrations.
• Review changes and enhancements for consistency with design and accessibility standards.
• Support platform adoption by assisting content owners with onboarding, audits, and ongoing maintenance, educating on best practices including SEO and UX/UI standards.
• Create and maintain reusable design assets and documentation using tools such as Figma, WordPress Gutenberg, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Engage in team collaboration, design reviews, and keep abreast of industry trends in UX and digital accessibility.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating experience with digital design for desktop and mobile, including team projects.
• Proficiency in design tools for wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Hands-on experience with front-end web development using HTML and CSS.
• Familiarity with WordPress CMS and page builders like Gutenberg, Beaver Builder, Divi, or Elementor.
• Strong commitment to user-centered design, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse technical and non-technical teams.
• Highly organized and motivated to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred: Experience with Figma design systems, AI tools for design, Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop and Illustrator), digital accessibility standards (WCAG), and familiarity with optimizing web images and video.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Architecture, or related fields.

Additional Information

A portfolio submission is mandatory for application consideration. The hiring salary range for this position in Orlando, FL is $84,800 to $113,600 annually. Compensation will be adjusted based on experience, location, and equity considerations and may include bonuses and incentives alongside benefits.
