About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage design and engineering plans, budgets, funding sources, delivery methods, and control procedures for existing and new airport facilities and projects.
  • Analyze project operational impacts, compliance with master plan and regulations including safety standards.
  • Prepare and present detailed project data and technical briefings supporting Authority objectives.
  • Monitor schedules, funding allocations, completion percentages for active projects and assist with preliminary project timelines and budget estimations.
  • Assist Project Manager in construction oversight ensuring projects comply with procurement policies, timelines, and budgets.
  • Develop negotiation strategies and define terms for construction and consultant contracts.
  • Lead formal procurement processes including advertising, bidding evaluations, and staff guidance for procurements.
  • Coordinate preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Qualifications (RFQs), and Information (RFIs), draft bid specifications, and manage change order negotiations.
  • Maintain effective relationships with vendors, project engineers, contractors, consultants, and other agencies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Associate degree in business administration, airport management, construction management, engineering, or related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience encompassing architecture, engineering, construction administration, or airport operations, or an equivalent education-experience combination.
  • Experience with public agency project management and construction oversight is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license for the State of Florida.
