Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

Position Overview

We invite an energetic and driven individual to join us as the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at The iNUA Hotel Collection, based in Sligo, County Sligo, Ireland. This role supports the Hotel Manager in efficiently running all facets of food and beverage services, aiming to deliver outstanding guest experiences through effective leadership, strategic coordination, and operational excellence.

Key Duties

• Manage daily operations of food and beverage outlets including the restaurant, bar, banquet services, and room service, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards, quality benchmarks, and internal policies.
• Lead and oversee the F&B team with responsibilities such as recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations, cultivating a positive, communicative, and growth-oriented workplace culture.
• Maintain exceptional service quality to guarantee guest satisfaction; promptly resolve questions, issues, and feedback and develop strategies to enhance guest loyalty.
• Assist with inventory supervision, supply ordering, and cost management to meet financial targets; monitor expenditures relating to food and beverage, analyze financial data, and drive expense-saving programs without lowering quality.
• Work collaboratively with culinary staff to create innovative menus, promotions, and special events that align with current trends and guest tastes, ensuring uniformity of offerings across all venues.
• Support marketing and sales efforts to increase revenue streams; work with sales teams to explore upselling, cross-selling, and promotional tactics; contribute to event planning and promotion execution.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety and sanitation legislation, as well as regulatory mandates; perform regular audits and inspections to uphold high standards of cleanliness and quality assurance.

Candidate Profile

• A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ supervisory or managerial experience in food and beverage operations.
• Strong leadership abilities capable of motivating and inspiring a diverse team.
• Excellent skills in communication, interpersonal relations, and problem-solving.
• Competent in Microsoft Office and relevant food and beverage management software.
• Well-versed in industry trends, regulations, and effective best practices in the food and beverage sector.
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
