Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Financial Controller to oversee the daily operations of our finance and central administration departments. This role entails leading a finance team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in all financial activities while maintaining team motivation and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial transactions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Credit Control up to the trial balance level.
- Lead and manage the finance team ensuring high-quality work and team motivation.
- Ensure proper financial and system controls are implemented and regularly reviewed under the guidance of the Group Financial Controller.
- Support management of daily cash flow and prepare weekly and quarterly cash forecasts.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including journal entries, analysis, KPIs, and submit reports for group consolidation.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process and prepare monthly/quarterly profit & loss and balance sheet forecasts as needed.
- Assist with statutory submissions including VAT, tax filings, and national statistics reports in cooperation with group finance teams.
- Participate in ad-hoc business transformation projects as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Part-qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, or CPA credentials.
- At least two years of experience in finance operations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft NAV or similar financial software.
- Proven experience handling payroll functions.
- Demonstrated people management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong capacity for tracking and meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
