Assistant Coach

About the Role

BLCK Gym is seeking a passionate and motivated Assistant Coach to join their team working 12 hours per week at their location in Skerries, Co. Dublin. This role is diverse, involving coaching duties, supporting members, managing front-of-house tasks, and contributing to sales efforts. The Assistant Coach will be key in fostering an outstanding member experience and maintaining a vibrant, energetic training atmosphere.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of six months experience coaching in either group or personal training settings, demonstrating energy and professionalism while delivering sessions.
• Strong knowledge of exercise techniques with a sincere enthusiasm for aiding individuals to improve their movement, wellbeing, and performance.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport and create an inclusive, supportive environment for all members from their first visit onward.
• A commitment to personal development by being receptive to feedback, eager to learn, and striving continuously to enhance coaching capabilities within a team setting.
• Highly professional attitude, showing reliability and preparedness when coaching, assisting on the gym floor, or managing reception duties to provide a consistent and quality experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead engaging and effective group training sessions.
• Deliver personal training as required.
• Offer exceptional customer service by welcoming members warmly.
• Handle front desk responsibilities such as member check-ins, enquiries, and general support.
• Conduct tours of the facility and assist prospective new members during sign-up processes.
• Foster strong relationships within the gym community to promote positivity.
• Ensure cleanliness, order, and professional appearance throughout the gym premises.
• Contribute to member retention by consistently enhancing the gym experience.
