Hosokawa Alpine Aktiengesellschaft is seeking motivated individuals for an apprenticeship as Mechatronics Engineers at their Augsburg headquarters starting 1st September 2027. The company is a globally recognized leader in special machinery with expertise in mechanical process engineering and film extrusion, boasting over 120 years of heritage and around 800 employees. Apprenticeship Experience

  • In your first year, you will acquire foundational skills in metalworking and electrical engineering, including filing, sawing, and soldering.
  • You will rotate through different departments such as electrical assembly and the technical center, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the company and becoming an integral team member.
  • Support is offered by experienced trainers to guide you through questions and challenges.
  • Alongside company-based learning, you will attend vocational school.
  • Key responsibilities include testing and measuring electrical voltages, maintaining and repairing machinery and systems, installing control systems, programming, and wiring control cabinets.

The apprenticeship duration is typically 3.5 years but may be shortened to 3 years upon excellent performance.

Candidate Profile

  • Applicants must hold at least an intermediate school leaving certificate with strong performance in technical subjects such as mathematics, physics, and chemistry.
  • A solid grasp of technical concepts and manual dexterity are essential.
  • Basic knowledge of English is beneficial to interpret technical drawings and navigate an international workspace.
  • Detail-oriented and responsible approach to assigned tasks is required.
  • Preference for hands-on work over sedentary office tasks.
