AI Developer (m/w/d)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI agents, multi-agent systems, and automation workflows across various company departments.
• Analyze business processes to identify automation opportunities and model these as structured agent and AI workflows.
• Integrate and manage REST APIs, OAuth, Webhooks, and third-party systems ensuring reliable and fault-tolerant connections.
• Work with data models, write SQL queries, and utilize cloud databases like BigQuery to support AI decision logic and KPI tracking.
• Transition prototypes into robust production systems equipped with monitoring, logging, deployment, and error handling capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with the KC AI Center of Excellence and internal stakeholders to align solutions with business needs.

Candidate Profile

• Strong expertise in Python, with additional skills in JavaScript or TypeScript preferred.
• Experience in designing AI agents, multi-agent architectures, automation systems, or workflows using popular agent development platforms and workflow frameworks.
• Proficient in handling REST APIs, OAuth, Webhooks, and troubleshooting integration-related issues.
• Solid SQL skills and familiarity with cloud databases and understanding of data pipelines, structures, and process logic.
• Knowledgeable in working with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, and core AI topics such as context windows, tokenization, temperature control, hallucination mitigation, and balancing cost and latency.
• Experience with Git version control, monitoring tools, deployment processes, fine-tuning models, and managing local or open-weight language models in data-sensitive environments.
• Independent and solution-focused working style, excellent communication skills, and fluency in German at least at C1 level.
