Role overview

An opening is available for an Accounts Payable Process Associate to support invoice processing and vendor payment activities. The role is intended for professionals with experience in accounts payable, invoice handling, accounting, or ERP systems who can ensure accurate processing of vendor invoices and timely resolution of queries.

Work location: Jodhpur, India (work from office only)

Shift: US shift

Key responsibilities

• Examine invoices, process them correctly, and release them for payment after resolving any issues.
• Apply core accounts payable concepts such as 3-way matching, PO and non-PO processing, and GRN checks.
• Verify supporting documents such as the Bill of Entry and packing list before posting invoices.
• Handle tax deduction at source requirements and understand deduction percentages for major categories.
• Be aware of TDS applicability on service expenses incurred in foreign currency.
• Maintain basic awareness of GST components and rates, including intra-state, inter-state, state, and central elements.
• Respond to vendor questions and requests received through email or ticketing tools within the agreed service-level timelines.
• Validate invoice essentials such as supplier details, purchase order, bank account, invoice number, and invoice date.
• Track exceptions and ensure invoices and queries are balanced using the exception tracker.
• Keep exception logs for process-related issues to support knowledge retention.
• Carry out transactional tasks that support compliance, planning, and execution of assigned processes.
• Follow up with requisitions through calls, emails, or tickets to resolve held invoices according to AP guidelines.
• Adhere to internal compliance policies and operational guidelines set by management.
• Conduct daily internal checks to confirm invoices and queries are balanced as per the required guidelines.

Qualifications and requirements

• Graduation in Commerce, preferably B.Com or BBA.
• Relevant professional experience in an Accounts Payable function.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
