Position Overview
We invite experienced accounting professionals to join our dynamic Finance Team as an Accounts Officer. This permanent, full-time role involves hands-on financial duties, supporting the accurate and timely management of accounts. You'll report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and collaborate on various finance-related projects. The role operates Monday through Friday with flexible start and finish times to promote a healthy work-life balance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts receivable operations ensuring precise and prompt financial data recording.
- Provide backup support for accounts payable during staff absences.
- Process revenue journals and conduct bank reconciliations to maintain comprehensive financial records.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including petty cash operations.
- Perform month-end and year-end reconciliations to finalize accounts within designated deadlines.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues arising in financial processes.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of three years practical experience in accounting roles.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in Excel with advanced functionality.
- Strong attention to detail combined with effective time management skills.
- Demonstrate a proactive, reliable, and positive working attitude.
Preferred Criteria
- Completion of a diploma or higher education in accounting or related field.
- Familiarity with MYOB or NetSuite financial software platforms.
