Accountant

About the Role

RUKOOZ Woodworking LLC in the UAE is looking for a skilled and meticulous Accountant to become a key member of its finance department. This position involves overseeing daily accounting functions, maintaining precise financial records, assisting in financial reporting, and ensuring adherence to company procedures and UAE legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately document and record daily financial transactions in a timely fashion.
• Create journal entries, reconcile accounts, and update the general ledger.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Handle supplier invoice processing, customer payment collection, and expense reimbursements.
• Conduct bank account reconciliations and monitor cash flow dynamics.
• Compile periodic financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Participate in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and cost management activities.
• Keep track of project-related expenses and provide financial analyses to support management decisions.
• Prepare VAT reports and ensure full compliance with UAE taxation laws.
• Assist in both internal and external audit processes by supplying necessary documentation.
• Maintain efficient filing systems and organized financial records.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and management teams on financial matters.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• At least 3 to 5 years of professional accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing, construction, joinery, or fit-out sectors.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficient knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software; experience with Odoo is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
• Capable of working independently and delivering results within deadlines.
