Warehouse Logistics Manager

Overview

We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee the daily functions of our third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse sites. The right candidate will bring between 5 to 7 years of experience in managing 3PL operations, including order processing, inbound and outbound logistics, freight rate negotiations, routing compliance, multimodal transportation solutions, warehouse space planning, order completion, and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily 3PL warehouse activities ensuring prompt and precise operation execution.
• Manage inbound and outbound inventory movements to maintain optimal stock levels across several 3PL warehouses.
• Lead shipping operations by adhering to retailer routing guidelines and compliance standards.
• Negotiate Full Truckload (FTL), Less Than Truckload (LTL), and small parcel rates with multiple carriers to secure cost-efficient and timely deliveries.
• Plan warehouse space and capacity for maximal productivity.
• Supervise order fulfillment ensuring shipments are accurate and dispatched on schedule.
• Direct inventory control measures including regular cycle counting and stock adjustments.
• Develop innovative logistics solutions to address operational challenges, improve delivery punctuality, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) relating to warehouse processes.
• Ensure cleanliness and efficiency of 3PL warehouse environments.
• Work in coordination with Account Managers, Production, and Inventory Planning teams to enable smooth supply chain logistics.
• Implement and track warehouse performance indicators to support chargeback recovery efforts.
• Leverage warehouse management systems (WMS) to enhance storage and retrieval workflow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Between 5 to 7 years of professional experience leading warehouse execution and operations teams.
• Expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office365 and Excel for detailed data handling.
• Strong skills in inventory control and ongoing process enhancements.
• Excellent communication skills geared toward superior customer service.
• Leadership qualities with effective team management capabilities.
• Certification as a Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt credentials are advantageous.
• OSHA Safety Certification is a plus.
