Warehouse Keeper

Job Overview

This role is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items from the stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. It also involves maintaining records and preparing stock-related reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular packing duties and support colleagues by following the established work process.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse and store activities and ensure that all goods and supplies are stored and recorded according to procedure.
• Build and strengthen procedural and technical capability through assessments, development planning, and both formal and informal coaching or training.
• Observe all required procedures and work methods, including the use of protective equipment where needed, to protect the environment and ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved.
• Adhere to mandatory quality, regulatory, and internal conduct standards while performing assigned work.
• Operate equipment and machinery, making necessary adjustments to achieve efficient output.
• Plan and organize personal work to complete tasks on time, coordinating with support functions and allocating short-term work to others when required.
• Arrange and oversee transport for goods and supplies in line with established procedures to support timely delivery.
• Use standard office applications to prepare basic letters, memos, and routine reports.

Education

High School Education in similar education.

Diploma in Supply Chain.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience working in a warehouse environment, preferably within the automotive sector.
• A forklift licence or training in material handling is considered an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of automotive spare parts, part numbering systems, and catalogues.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Excel and ERP or warehouse management software.
• Ability to manage inventory and reconcile stock accurately.
• Familiarity with warehouse tools and equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners.
• Understanding of safety practices and handling procedures in warehouse operations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
• Good planning, organization, and time management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with service, sales, and logistics teams.
• Problem-solving approach for stock variances and urgent requests.
• Reliable, disciplined, and trustworthy in handling company property.
