About the role

Daikan Izakaya at Yas Bay in Abu Dhabi is hiring a friendly and energetic Waitress to support the restaurant team in delivering memorable dining experiences. The role focuses on attentive guest service, accurate order handling, and smooth coordination across the dining area.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly, guide them to their tables, and record food and beverage orders with accuracy.
• Explain menu items, chef specials, and answer guest questions clearly and helpfully.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while checking in on guest satisfaction during the meal.
• Keep the dining space presentable by arranging tables, clearing used items, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Coordinate closely with the kitchen team to support efficient and well-timed service.
• Process guest bills and payments carefully and professionally at the end of the dining experience.
• Observe all applicable health, hygiene, and safety standards to protect staff and customers.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a waitress or in a comparable guest-facing service position.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfort working in a busy, fast-moving restaurant setting.
• Good understanding of food safety and cleanliness practices.
• Positive, service-oriented attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Availability to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and support coworkers when needed.
