Position Locations
We are currently looking to recruit Wagenmeister:in at several locations including Dortmund, Duisburg, Frankfurt am Main, Hagen, Hamm, or Karlsruhe.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of documentation required for train operations, including wagon lists and brake slips.
- Conducting technical inspections of wagons and reporting any irregularities.
- Performing tasks in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Carrying out functionality inspections and managing defective wagons as part of daily duties.
- Inspecting wagons upon return of leased equipment.
Candidate Profile
- Completed technical vocational training, such as an industrial mechanic qualification, preferably in a metalworking trade accompanied by additional certification as a Wagenmeister for freight transport; qualifications as a train conductor or shunting assistant are advantageous.
- Familiarity with applicable regulatory frameworks and operational experience in railway services.
- Knowledge of track construction is desirable.
- Willingness to work at various locations across the country, including weekends and in shift patterns such as night shifts.
- Valid driving license class B is mandatory for this role.
