VMI Key Account Coordinator - Life Sciences

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated VMI Key Account Coordinator for a leading life sciences company based in Shannon, Co. Clare, servicing various customer sites across the west and east of Ireland. This permanent role involves managing Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) customer accounts based on a regular weekly schedule with flexibility to adjust to customer requirements. The position includes provision of a company van for both professional and personal use.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled deliveries to customer locations punctually.
• Replenish products in designated bin locations within storage areas; deliver directly to laboratories when necessary, including temperature-sensitive items.
• Monitor and manage products with expiration dates, ensuring proper rotation and reporting.
• Conduct weekly stock audits of assigned areas and comprehensive monthly stock counts.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of key inventory items and stock demands for assigned accounts.
• Contribute to project groups as assigned by senior leadership.
• Collaborate with the Key Account Manager to identify and deploy cost-saving initiatives for each client.
• Assist with any additional responsibilities delegated by the Key Account Manager or Commercial Director.

Qualification and Requirements

• Proven experience in distribution or stock management environments, with a firm grasp of inventory challenges.
• Competency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level.
• Possession of a full driving license is mandatory.
• HazChem license is advantageous but not required.
• Personable and calm demeanor, with meticulous attention to detail and capability to work independently.
