Job description
Role Overview
As a VMC Programmer at Global Techno Engineers based in Pune, Maharashtra, you will be responsible for developing and refining machining programs for Vertical Machining Centers (VMC).
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and modify G-code and M-code programs or generate toolpaths utilizing Mastercam software to ensure efficient machining operations.
- Manage machine setup including establishing work and tool offsets, and conduct dry runs or prove-outs of newly created programs on Fanuc VMC controls to verify accuracy before production.
- Enhance machining processes by optimizing cutting parameters such as feed rates, spindle speeds, and tool selection strategies to minimize cycle times and reduce material consumption.
- Perform detailed inspection of finished components using precision measurement instruments including Trimos, Vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to maintain strict quality standards.
- Diagnose and address machining issues in real-time, encompassing errors in programs, tool wear challenges, and other operational anomalies on the manufacturing floor.
