About The Role
This Visual Designer role, based in San Francisco or San Jose, CA, involves creating outstanding user experiences through user-centered design approaches. The position lasts for 12 months with potential renewal.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
- At least 4 years of experience in visual design focusing on product or UX/UI design.
- Proficiency in design patterns, layout structures, and expressing design systems particularly using Figma.
- Applicants must provide a portfolio, website, or relevant work links showcasing product design and design systems.
Preferred qualifications include:
- A master’s in design, HCI, computer science or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Three years working within cross-functional teams.
- Two years leading design projects.
- Experience collaborating with designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers throughout design processes.
- Skills with Android, Material Design, motion design, and 3D tools.
- Ability to advance design concepts from early sketches to released product features.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead design initiatives for a diverse portfolio of XR devices and experiences, focusing on innovative user-centered solutions.
- Effectively communicate design ideas to generate enthusiasm and gain alignment across teams and stakeholders.
- Produce design deliverables aligning with brand directives and established UX standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional groups to prioritize, prototype, and implement design concepts.
- Develop and maintain scalable design documentation tailored for the XR platform.
