About the Role

RUN Studios and its client, a major online retailer based in Seattle, are searching for a Visual Designer for a 2-3 month contract position. The role is remote but applicants must currently reside in CA, CO, FL, ID, MI, NJ, NY, OR, TX, or WA.

Responsibilities

Create visually compelling, narrative-driven product detail and marketing page designs that clearly communicate product features and benefits.
Translate creative briefs and business needs into thoughtful visual ideas and well-organized page layouts.
Establish visual hierarchy, pacing, and content flow to guide users effectively across page sections.
Develop high-fidelity designs and prototypes using Figma, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Work within design systems, templates, and brand standards while enhancing the overall creative presentation.
Deliver production-ready assets optimized for responsive web environments and compliant with technical specifications.
Collaborate closely with Creative Directors, copywriters, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality and alignment.
Support the implementation process by cooperating with CMS platforms and development teams to ensure accurate execution.
Manage multiple concurrent projects and timelines in a dynamic environment with frequent feedback cycles.

Candidate Profile

More than 5 years of experience in visual design, branding, or digital marketing design.
A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality visual design focused on digital experiences and storytelling.
Proven experience designing landing pages, product pages, and marketing-focused web experiences.
Proficient with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
Solid understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy principles.
Experience working within established design systems and component-based frameworks.
Ability to blend creative thinking with precision and meticulous attention to detail.
Experience collaborating across teams including design, product, marketing, and engineering.
Knowledge of responsive web design with capability to design for multiple screen sizes.
Familiarity with CMS platforms such as Squarespace or Wix is preferred.
Additional skills in motion design, art direction, or visual UX are beneficial.

Additional Details

There are no supervisory responsibilities with this role.
Physical demands include sitting for extended periods and occasional bending, lifting, and driving.
Work environment is remote or typical office/home setup.
No travel is expected.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range for this role is $65 to $95, adjusted based on candidate qualifications and work location.

Benefits vary by location and job type but can include medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, telehealth and wellness programs, a minimum of seven paid holidays yearly, 6.5 to 15 days of paid time off depending on employment type, 401(k) with company match, discretionary bonuses, and employee referral bonuses.
