Vice President Operations

About the Position

Our client is a prominent entity in industrial distribution and manufacturing, searching for a Vice President of Operations. This senior executive will be responsible for designing, modernizing, and scaling the operational framework to support sustainable growth, boost profitability, and improve customer service performance.

The VP of Operations will drive continuous improvement efforts, enhance supply chain performance, and align operational systems, facilities, and workforce capabilities with the company's long-term strategic goals. This role will closely collaborate with Technology and Data leadership to utilize modern digital solutions for optimizing business performance throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine operating strategies, governance frameworks, workflows, and enterprise capacity planning to support future growth targets.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives employing Lean and process optimization techniques across all business divisions, leveraging operational KPIs and technology to increase efficiency.
• Oversee all fundamental operational activities including warehousing, distribution, procurement, inventory control, manufacturing, logistics, and facilities management.
• Lead transformation projects and acquisition integration efforts to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction while providing necessary operational support for M&A integration.
• Establish leadership development and succession planning for operational teams, foster a culture emphasizing accountability and teamwork, and maintain rigorous safety and regulatory compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience exceeding 15 years in progressive operational leadership roles, demonstrating success in scaling operations, executing transformation programs, and managing diverse teams.
• In-depth understanding of industrial distribution networks, multi-location warehousing, supply chain processes, procurement, and manufacturing operations.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline is required; possession of an MBA or higher degree is advantageous.
• Strong capabilities in financial and commercial management, data-informed decision making, along with excellent executive communication and change leadership skills.
