Job Responsibilities
- Initiate and record new submissions within the clearance system, following established protocols.
- Support Underwriters in managing the quote, binder, and policy issuance processes.
- Collect and organize critical documents and reports, including loss runs, risk assessments, and loss ratings to aid underwriting judgments.
- Assist Underwriters with calculations related to rates and premiums.
- Review incoming insurance applications to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Contribute to developing and refining the team's underwriting workflows and file management for all bound accounts.
- Coordinate with producers to obtain any missing information required for underwriting.
- Handle processing and distribution of insurance binders, endorsements, and policies within the set standards.
- Prepare finalized policies in accordance with binders after review by underwriting staff.
- Oversee management and organization of all account documentation.
Candidate Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in any field.
- 1 to 3 years' experience in underwriting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
