Role Overview
We are looking for a trainee graphic designer to join our creative team in Berlin. If you have a keen eye for visual trends and enjoy creating high-quality print and digital products, this role is ideal for you. Candidates familiar with programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma—especially those passionate about editorial design—will feel right at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate as part of a friendly creative team to develop tailor-made design solutions across various client industries.
- Assist in the research, conceptualization, and creation of both print and digital projects.
- Work with and help evolve design systems and style guides alongside the team.
- Learn to translate ideas and messages into compelling visual concepts.
- Gradually take responsibility for your own tasks and smaller projects, managing them from initial drafts through to final artwork and production preparation.
Candidate Profile
- Completed studies in communication design, digital media, or an equivalent qualification.
- Exceptional sensitivity to typography, layout, and visual storytelling.
- Passionate about typographic precision, thoughtful grids, striking cover design, and the interplay of text and image across magazines, reports, and digital formats.
- Ability to develop visual concepts for various media channels including print, digital, and social media, with a cross-channel mindset.
- Proficient with common graphic software (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar); knowledge of motion graphics or content tools like After Effects, Canva, or AI tools is a plus.
- Organized, self-directed work style with a strong commitment to creative excellence and meeting deadlines.
- Open to embracing modern technologies such as AI in the design process.
