Role Overview
The Trade Marketing Executive will lead trade marketing efforts across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, and the Philippines, managing a portfolio of premium wines such as McGuigan Wines and Poco Vino. This role bridges commercial strategy with practical market execution, collaborating with distributors and retailers to elevate brand visibility, boost sales, and sustain growth. Candidates should enjoy dynamic retail activations, event coordination, and regular travel within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute promotional campaigns and retail activations promptly and aligned with briefs across various markets.
- Collaborate with distributor teams to create annual trade marketing plans and customize activations for major retail clients.
- Analyze sales and depletion data, monitor competitors, and refine strategies accordingly.
- Manage timely localization and distribution of POS and promotional materials.
- Oversee the trade marketing budget ensuring programs deliver measurable ROI.
- Organize trade events, tastings, and distributor meetings, then apply insights for continuous improvement.
- Facilitate distributor and retailer training programs to enhance sales capabilities.
Candidate Requirements
- Three to five years of experience in trade marketing, shopper marketing, sales, or brand activation within wine, spirits, beverages, or FMCG sectors.
- Background working with distributors and retailers throughout Southeast Asia.
- Strong capability to translate commercial plans into actionable market activations.
- Proficient in analyzing sales and depletion data.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural communication sensitivity.
- Ability to manage multiple markets simultaneously and willingness to travel frequently in the region.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, Hospitality, or a related field; WSET qualification is advantageous but not essential.
