About the Role
BEC Arabia is looking for a precise and well-organized Time Keeper to join the Human Resources team based in Riyadh. This position is essential in tracking employee attendance and managing work hours accurately for laborers working on major construction and infrastructure projects aligned with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Saudi Labor Law and aiding the smooth operations of these projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Track daily attendance records for both field and office staff.
- Ensure adherence to Saudi Labor Law regarding work hours, overtime, and leave policies.
- Maintain accurate logs of employee presence, absences, and late arrivals.
- Coordinate with site supervisors to verify attendance data and address inconsistencies.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on attendance and time data for payroll and management review.
- Assist in scheduling shifts and ensuring adequate coverage for operational demands.
- Process and approve overtime requests according to company policy.
- Support HR and project teams in workforce allocation and productivity monitoring.
- Effectively communicate attendance rules and procedures to employees.
- Identify and report any non-compliance or irregularities to HR management.
- Collaborate with payroll departments to guarantee timely and accurate salary payments.
- Utilize timekeeping software to enhance efficiency and accuracy of time management processes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in attendance management, timekeeping, or similar roles within construction or engineering industries.
- Proficient in using timekeeping software such as Kronos, TSheets, or equivalents.
- Comprehensive understanding of Saudi Labor Law compliance.
- Excellent organizational abilities, multitasking skills, and detail orientation.
- Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing timekeeping within construction or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and the integration of attendance tools.
- HR certifications like SHRM-CP or PHR are advantageous.
- Knowledge about Saudi Vision 2030 and its workforce implications.
- Experience working in a multinational workforce environment.
Working Conditions
- Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- Mostly office-based role with occasional site visits requiring compliance with safety protocols and use of PPE.
- Standard full-time working hours with potential overtime during peak periods.
- Minimal travel within Riyadh.
