About Avista
Avista is a person-focused, rights-based organisation committed to enhancing the lives of children and adults with disabilities. We offer diverse services such as Day, Residential, and Respite supports across Dublin, Limerick, and North Tipperary.
Role Overview
Avista, in partnership with the HSE, leads the East Limerick Children Services (Children's Disability Network Team) and is seeking dedicated individuals to assist children with complex disabilities and their families. This role is family- and person-centred, community-based, socially inclusive, and aligned with our core principles, high standards, and evidence-based practices.
Employment Details
- Permanent full-time (39 hours/week) or part-time (30 hours/week) positions available in Limerick
- Salary range: €36,651 to €45,939, adjusted according to relevant public sector experience and prorated for working hours
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with children aged 0-18 years within a family-centred practice framework
- Deliver services incorporating interdisciplinary interventions and assessments
- Collaborate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Essential Requirements
- Completed Full FETAC 5 QQI healthcare qualification
- Possession of a full, clean manual Irish driving licence
- Proficiency in English language
Desirable Attributes
- Willingness to support children and young people in developing key skills based on priority areas
- Competency with IT systems and software applications
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary groups
- Level 1 behavioural competencies according to Avista’s competency framework

- Practice is guided by the Progressing Disability Services policy framework within Ireland
- A panel may be created for current and future vacancies (full-time, part-time, permanent, or temporary) at Avista
