Temenos Core Banking Specialist

Overview

HCLTech is currently seeking an experienced Product Specialist focused on Temenos T24/Transact to join their Chennai team. This role demands hands-on expertise in managing, optimizing, and customizing the Temenos T24/Transact core banking software to align with organizational business needs, particularly within the private banking domain.

Main Duties

• Lead and guide testing teams covering functional, regression, automation, and non-functional testing for large scale Temenos T24 projects.
• Plan and manage all aspects of testing including test design, environment setup, data management, defect tracking, and closure.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to design comprehensive test strategies and plans.
• Collaborate effectively across teams to achieve project objectives and provide clear status updates.
• Drive defect resolution processes across multiple groups, proactively identifying issues and proposing solutions.
• Enhance upstream software quality by working closely with business analysts and developers on requirements and development approaches.
• Lead and coordinate the implementation and tailoring of Temenos T24/Transact solutions per client needs, offering technical guidance throughout project lifecycles.
• Support data migration activities and develop custom local solutions conforming to business and technical specifications.
• Install and validate custom enhancements ensuring thorough testing and user acceptance globally.
• Deliver technical documentation and conduct end-user technical training as needed.
• Liaise with Temenos maintenance teams to address and resolve product issues.
• Work in partnership with functional and technical leads on specifications, testing, customization, and system parameterization.
• Engage in the development, optimization, and improvement of banking modules, including programming, editing routines, and executing unit tests.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and drive projects to successful completion under deadlines.
• Translate functional needs into effective, fit-for-purpose technical solutions.

Qualification and Experience

• Minimum of 7 to 20 years' experience in software roles involving Temenos T24/Transact;
• Specifically, at least 10 years of testing experience on the Temenos T24 platform is required;
• Proven ability to lead testing teams and train junior testers in T24 environments;
• Experience in analysis of business and technical requirements for local development initiatives;
• Technical expertise in installing enhancements, troubleshooting, and maintaining software quality;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
