About the Property
Delta Hotels by Marriott Jeddah Al Salam is a contemporary hotel in Jeddah that combines comfortable guest rooms and suites with a polished hospitality setting. The property features dining options, a spa, a swimming pool, and a fitness centre, along with large venues for meetings and events, including a ballroom used for conferences, weddings, and business functions. As part of the Marriott portfolio, the hotel provides exposure to established international service standards and systems.
Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position is based in Jeddah and focuses on handling incoming and outgoing phone traffic for guests and internal teams. The Telephone Operator Agent serves as the communication hub for the hotel by answering calls quickly, routing enquiries to the right people, sharing accurate information about services and facilities, and helping maintain smooth communication across departments.
Key Duties
- Manage the hotel switchboard and handle multiple incoming and outgoing calls efficiently.
- Answer calls promptly and transfer them to the appropriate guest-facing or internal team member.
- Provide guests with correct details about hotel services, amenities, and facilities.
- Take messages, pass them on accurately, and follow up on communication when required.
- Assist guests with basic requests and resolve simple issues, escalating matters when needed.
- Maintain professional telephone manners and consistent service etiquette.
- Keep contact lists updated and coordinate closely with the front office and other departments.
- Follow hotel safety, security, and communication procedures in line with Marriott service standards.
Requirements
- Excellent phone etiquette and clear, courteous verbal communication.
- Prior experience operating a switchboard or managing multi-line phone systems.
- Experience in customer support, guest services, or a similar service role.
- Ability to work full time on site in Jeddah, with flexibility for shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with hotel systems or software.
- Fluent English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an added advantage.
- Good organisation, close attention to detail, and the ability to stay composed under pressure.
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification; additional hospitality, customer service, or call centre training is beneficial.
Additional Information
This position is stated as Saudi-only. Previous hospitality experience is considered an advantage.
