Job Overview

This position involves carrying out welding tasks on diverse materials like Carbon Steel, Aluminum, and Steel to assemble, repair, and create equipment and structural components. Expertise in different welding methods combined with strict adherence to safety and quality standards is essential to assure durable and dependable welds in challenging settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick to construct, fix, and fabricate metal parts as per project specs and technical diagrams.
• Inspect welds meticulously to verify compliance with recognized industry standards including ASME, API, and AWS as well as project specifications.
• Operate and maintain welding machinery safely and effectively, ensuring equipment is properly set up for assigned tasks.
• Interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and drawings accurately to execute welding assignments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, supervisors, and engineers to facilitate smooth on-site coordination.
• Implement all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment to sustain a safe workspace.
• Identify, communicate, and propose solutions for issues related to materials, drawings, or weld processes to improve workflow efficiency.
• Keep detailed records of work, including timesheets, inspection outcomes, and materials used.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or a technical diploma relevant to the trade.
• A minimum of six to eight years of practical welding experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Heavy Manufacturing sectors.
• Possession of a Welder Certification (e.g., AWS) is strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of welding methods including MIG, TIG, and Stick and associated materials.
• Strong focus on precision and high-quality workmanship.
• Awareness of regulatory standards and best practices governing welding activities.
