Role overview
Deerector Global Consulting is hiring a Technician for Gourmet Twist in Lekki, Lagos. The position focuses on keeping facility systems, kitchen equipment, and utilities running reliably so daily operations continue without disruption.
The ideal candidate should be practical, alert, and comfortable handling electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general upkeep tasks in a busy work environment.
The compensation for this role is ₦200,000 to ₦300,000 net per month, with the final amount depending on experience.
What the role involves
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance as well as corrective repairs on kitchen equipment and building systems.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and fix issues in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and minor structural components.
- Act quickly when maintenance requests or equipment failures occur.
- Inspect equipment and facilities regularly to catch potential problems early.
- Make sure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and servicing activity.
- Work with outside contractors when a repair requires specialist support.
- Follow health, safety, and operational guidelines at all times.
- Track utility usage and suggest ways to reduce downtime and operating expenses.
- Support overall facility maintenance to help business operations run smoothly.
What the employer is looking for
- An OND, HND, or Trade Test Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Maintenance, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or a similar technical position.
- Solid working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general maintenance systems.
- The ability to diagnose faults and complete repairs independently.
- Good awareness of health and safety practices.
- Strong problem-solving ability and good organizational discipline.
- Confidence working under pressure and handling urgent maintenance issues.
- Experience in hospitality, restaurants, manufacturing, or FMCG will be an advantage.
