Technical Trainer - Water

Overview

Swan Global is looking for a seasoned Technical Trainer specializing in Water to lead instructional programs in water engineering, including water and wastewater treatment, desalination, and utility system operations. The role involves designing and delivering training sessions both in classroom settings and practical environments, assessing participant competencies, and maintaining training resources.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of five years of engineering experience, ideally in water utilities, treatment plants, or related infrastructure sectors.
• Prior technical training or workforce development experience is strongly favored.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Water, Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or a similar field.
• Comprehensive understanding of water treatment, wastewater systems, desalination, and distribution networks.
• Proven ability to create and deliver effective training materials, including manuals, presentations, and assessments.
• Competence in assessing trainee skills and reporting technical outcomes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Certified as a Train the Trainer (TTT).
• Fluency in both English and Arabic, with exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Excellent coaching, mentoring, and presentation skills.
• Experience within utilities or water infrastructure organizations is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct technical courses, workshops, and hands-on training sessions focused on water engineering and operational systems.
• Manage training schedules, coordinate materials and equipment, and organize instructional resources.
• Evaluate trainee progress via exams, tests, and practical demonstrations.
• Provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship throughout the training lifecycle.
• Continually update and improve training content, manuals, and assessment techniques.
• Oversee the upkeep of training facilities, laboratories, tools, and equipment.
• Assess competency and assist with certification aligned with company standards.
• Ensure all training activities adhere to safety, health, and quality protocols.
• Maintain thorough documentation including attendance, progress, and competency records.
• Participate in initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and technical quality of training programs.
